Special Needs Planning

Special Needs Planning

Caring for an individual with special needs can be a lifelong commitment and beyond. As a parent or caretaker of an individual with special needs, preparing a plan is an important step to help ensure care continues for the individual's lifetime. Beyond the general steps in creating an estate plan (wills, powers of attorney, etc.) the caregiver should consider the additional steps, such as Letters of Intent, Guardianship documents, and special needs trusts.  To understand more about these processes, you should always seek competent legal counsel who specializes in this field.  We can assist in your search if necessary.
